Swiss Lake Boats
Stefan is Swiss and grew up on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Switzerland. Since his childhood, he has been involved in the sailing world. Luckily we have been able to take an extended trip to Switzerland, where I gathered a good deal of knowledge of the local boats. With his knowledge of the boats and my new inspiration, we have begun building some Swiss Lake Boats.

Barque du Leman "Savoie" -SOLD-
A Barque is a boat constructed for transporting goods throughout the lake Geneva (Lac Leman) area. This ship in bottle is based on "La Savoie," which is a French Barque reconstructed and then launched from Evian France.
These boats were known for their ability to transport great weights, which they would stack on their decks, including rocks or timber.

Barque du Leman "Neptune" -SOLD on Commission-
Hailing from Geneva, this Barque du Leman is smaller than the "Savoie" but would perform the same work of transporting big loads throughout the Lake area. Here, it is captured in its most picturesque form, sailing downwind, wing and wing.
